Sawdust 5k

The Sawdust 5k starts in Pinehurst Park in Cloquet at 8:00 a.m on July 4th. It is a 3.1 mile/ 5k course that winds through Cloquet's beautiful and historic west-side neighborhoods. The course is a mixture of flat straight-a-ways and rolling hills. The Sawdust 5k is a chip-timed event which is more timely and accurate. We also provide men's and women's tech shirts along with a race bag. When the race is complete our competitors can enjoy food and beverages along with an awards ceremony and an optional dip in Pinehurst Pool, bring your towels!

The sawdust 5k proceeds proudly go to the Cloquet High School Athletics with a portion of those proceeds put aside specifically for underprivileged athletes who do not have the resources for sign-up fees.

The Sawdust 5k is still including a ONE MILE RUN! Here’s how it works:

The one mile run will kick-off the Cloquet 4th of July parade, starting at 10:30 am on Avenue B.
The race will go straight down Cloquet Avenue and end in front of The JACK.

1. If you run the Sawdust 5k…the one miler is FREE!
2. If you do not want a shirt…the one miler is FREE!
3. Didn’t run the 5k but want a shirt? The one miler is only $10.00.

*If you are only running the ONE MILER, sign-up will NOT be online.
You can sign-up at the Sawdust 5k or at the starting line of the one miler.
*If you pre-register for the Sawdust 5k, you will be able to register for the one miler at that same time.
