Minnesota Wilderness Hockey
The Minnesota Wilderness is a Tier II Junior Hockey Team in the National American Hockey League (NAHL), based in Cloquet, Mn. The NAHL is a USA Hockey-sanctioned Tier II Junior league boasting 24 teams in 13 states from across North America.
The NAHL offers junior hockey players the opportunity to develop, learn, train, grow and succeed while increasing their exposure to NCAA collegiate teams. Players travel from as near and far to play for the Wilderness for our 8-10 month hockey season. During their time in Cloquet, players stay with a host family in the community, so you may just run into one!
Northwoods Credit Union Arena
Northwoods Arena serves as home ice for the Wilderness. Join us on Friday and Saturday nights for high-intensity hockey, cold beer, and a friendly atmosphere. We play 28 home games in our beautiful arena that has 360 views of the ice, a hospitality suite, and a mezzanine level where adult beverages are served.

Wilderness in the Cloquet Community
The Minnesota Wilderness players are extremely active around town. You will see them each year in the Labor Day Parade, helping the local elementary schools get in one on one reading with students every week and doing some heavy lifting at the local food pantry. If you see these young boys around Cloquet, give them a wave and get to know them!
Little ones can even lace up and get on the ice with the players at our Skate with the Wilderness events, which take place after select home games. Stay tuned into our Facebook or Instagram for Skate with the Wilderness release dates.
