March 14, 2010 - Northeastern Hotel Mojakka Cook-Off  (1-4 pm) enter the contest or sample the Finnish soup - a benefit for Friends of Animals

May 15, 2010 - Lumberjack Laps FUN RUN at Cloquet High School.  4 & Under 100 yd. Dash - parents can run with their child(ren)  5-6 Year Olds 1/4 mile  7-8 Year Olds 1/4 mile  9-10 Year Olds 1/2 mile  11-12 Year Olds 1/2 mile“Lumberjack Mile”   All ages 12 & Under“Legacy Mile   Walk/Run” All ages 13 & Older   

Registration will be $5 per person before May 10 and $8 per person after May 10. With this entry fee, kids can participate in both their Lumberjack Mile and their age division race if desired. Registration info will be available at www.cloquet.k12.mn.us/was.

June 18 & 19, 2010 - International Polka Fest at the Lost Isle, Carlton, MN

July 4th, 2010 - Classic Car Show Noon to 4 pm.  80-100 antique and collector cars, outside grilling and live music.

August 17, 2010 - BAM/Bicycling Around Minnesota Tour begins in Cloquet.

September 18th, 2010 - Fun Walk Fundraiser for Friends of Animals - Cloquet

September 18th, 2010 - Big River Brewfest - 4-8 pm - Sample over 80 beers supplied by 25 brewers and distributors.  An outdoor event in a 40'X100' tent with food vendors and two live bands.  A benefit for disabled veterans at "Veterans on the Lake" in Ely, MN.
